We achieve this by:

  • Setting high standards
  • Participating in in-services and training opportunities

Our housekeeping team works diligently every day to keep our home clean and beautiful. They take pride in treating the residents’ home as though it was their own.

The team in responsible for:

  • Regular room cleaning
  • Discharge and transfer cleaning
  • Regular cleaning of bathrooms and tub rooms
  • Internal facility resident transfers
  • Seasonal housekeeping such as windows and resident closets

The laundry team keeps the residents’ clothing clean and in good repair. The team plays a huge role in ensuring the residents look their best.

The team is responsible for:

  • Laundering clothing and other items
  • Sorting soiled laundry
  • Drying, folding, hanging clothes and other laundry
  • Deliver and put away personal clothing for our residents
  • Labelling resident items

Clothing that needs to be marked can be dropped off in the Director of Support Services office or taken directly down to the laundry, or dropped off at the nursing station on the respective neighborhood.

From helping to maintain the outdoor grounds to repairing equipment, the maintenance department is available to ensure that everything is running smoothly.

The team is responsible for:

  • Repair building, operational equipment and furniture as required
  • Maintain boilers and air conditioning
  • Preventative maintenance
  • Ensure entrance ways, sidewalks, and parking areas are free of snow, ice or other obstructions, mowing, and watering of the lawn
  • Complete maintenance requisitions as required

Maintenance requisitions should be filled out whenever there is work for maintenance to be completed.
